Description

Castrol Rustilo™ DWX 33 is a powerful solvent deposited corrosion preventive with good dewatering properties. The product, following evaporation of the solvent, leaves a firm, greasy protective film.

Application

Rustilo DWX 33 is a long-term protective which is suited to the treatment of steel exposed to the open air, such as coiled steel sheet, strip bar and extruded steel, exposed gearing, wire ropes, etc. The film is more robust than most soft film types of preservatives, but it is recommended that some form of covering is provided of long term storage. The product also shows good water displacing properties.

Although Rustilo DWX 33 can be applied by brushing or spraying, its dewatering action is most effective if the articles to be protected can be immersed in a dip tank.
